JENNIA privacy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This policy explains how JENNIA and related services collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you register, sign in, manage your wardrobe, generate outfit suggestions, and use weather-based features. Please read it carefully before continuing to use the service.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the JENNIA iOS app, server APIs, marketing pages, and related services we provide. In this policy, "we" refers to JENNIA and its operator, and "you" refers to any user who registers, signs in, browses, or uses the service.

When you use Apple Sign in, upload wardrobe images, request AI analysis, check weather, or enable push notifications, relevant third-party services may process the information required to provide those features under their own privacy policies.

2. Information We May Collect

  • Account information: email address, nickname, sign-in method, Apple sign-in identifier, authentication tokens, account status, and necessary security verification information.
  • Wardrobe content: clothing images, names, categories, colors, seasons, materials, sizes, fit, wash status, wear records, outfit records, and rating feedback that you upload or enter.
  • Recommendation preferences: style preferences, occasion preferences, temperature sensitivity, repeat-outfit intervals, planning cycles, and other preferences you choose or provide.
  • Camera and photo library content: we access images only after you grant permission and actively take or select a photo, for adding clothing, identifying item attributes, or generating outfit suggestions.
  • Face data: only photographs that you actively select or capture for appearance, virtual-character, or AI outfit features and that may contain your visible facial appearance, hairstyle, skin tone, body shape, or pose. We do not collect biometric face templates or Apple Face ID or TrueDepth data.
  • Location and weather information: when you grant location permission or select a city, we use city-level location or city name to obtain weather for better outfit suggestions. We do not continuously track your precise location.
  • Device and usage information: device type, system version, app version, network status, crash logs, operation records, and security logs needed to keep the service stable and secure.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

  • Creating, signing in to, maintaining, and protecting your account.
  • Saving, syncing, and displaying your wardrobe data, outfit records, wear plans, and preferences.
  • Identifying clothing categories, colors, materials, and styles from item images to reduce manual entry.
  • Generating personalized daily outfits, item pairings, and weekly plans based on weather, dates, occasions, and preferences.
  • Improving recommendations based on your feedback, troubleshooting issues, and improving app stability and experience.
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other activity that may harm users or service security.
  • Sending necessary service notifications, reminders, or push messages when you enable the related permissions.

4. Images, AI, and Recommendation Services

When you upload clothing images or request AI recommendations, we process images, item attributes, preference settings, and related descriptions to identify wardrobe information, generate outfit suggestions, or improve recommendation results. Unless you actively share content or give separate authorization, we do not publicly display your private wardrobe content to other users.

AI results may be affected by image quality, data completeness, weather information, and model capabilities. They are provided as outfit references only and are not professional advice. You may edit, delete, or replace system-generated information at any time.

4A. Face Data and Virtual Character Features

JENNIA processes only photographs that you actively select or capture. These photographs may contain your visible facial appearance, hairstyle, skin tone, body shape, and pose. JENNIA does not access Apple Face ID or TrueDepth data and does not extract or store face geometry, facial landmarks, face embeddings, biometric templates, or other data used for facial recognition or authentication.

We use a selected photograph only to create a private stylized virtual character or, when you separately request it, to generate a private AI outfit image. A generated virtual character may also be used as the visual reference for a virtual try-on image that you request. We do not use face data for advertising, analytics, user profiling, identification, authentication, or sale, and we do not publicly display it.

For these user-requested image-generation features, the photograph or virtual-character reference is transmitted over HTTPS to our private production server and to the Volcengine Ark Doubao Seedream image-generation service operated by Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd. The provider receives only the image references, clothing references, and generation instructions needed to complete the request; we do not send your JENNIA email address, username, or account identifier. The provider processes data in mainland China under its Data Processing Addendum and may retain it only for the time necessary to provide and secure the service or comply with law. We do not configure a provider-side object-storage copy. Background removal is performed on our server.

A source photograph submitted specifically to create a virtual character is stored on our server only while that generation attempt is running, normally for a few minutes, and is permanently deleted immediately after the attempt succeeds or fails. The resulting virtual character is retained in private, account-scoped storage until you delete it or delete your account. A separately uploaded appearance photograph and user-requested AI creations are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Deletion removes the corresponding files from active server storage. Images may be temporarily cached inside the iOS application sandbox and may be removed by iOS cache management or by deleting the app.

5. Retention and Security

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the service. After you delete clothing items, outfit records, or your account, we will delete or anonymize related information within a reasonable period, except where laws require otherwise or where retention is necessary for security, dispute handling, or legal compliance.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data security, including access control, encrypted transmission, permission isolation, backup management, and log auditing. No internet environment can be absolutely secure. If a data security incident may affect your rights, we will take remedial measures and notify you through reasonable means as required.

6. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share necessary information only in the following situations:

  • With service providers as needed for Apple sign-in, server hosting, image processing, AI analysis, weather queries, push notifications, data backup, or security risk control.
  • With recipients you choose when you use sharing, family collaboration, invitation, rating, or export features, after your explicit authorization.
  • When required by laws, courts, regulators, or reasonable needs to protect users and service security.

Third-party services process information only within the scope necessary for the relevant function. We make reasonable efforts to require third parties to apply security measures consistent with this policy.

Push service: after you agree to this policy and enable push notifications, we use the JPush SDK (no-IDFA iOS edition) provided by Shenzhen Hexun Huagu Information Technology Co., Ltd. The SDK automatically processes a pseudonymous device identifier, device model and storage information, operating-system information, network type, carrier and IP address, push delivery logs, and crash diagnostics to maintain the push connection, address the correct device, and measure delivery. We disable its optional SSID, BSSID, cell-tower, GPS, and smart-audience collection. See the Jiguang Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

You can view, correct, or delete certain account details, wardrobe data, outfit records, saved appearance photos, virtual characters, and preference settings in the app. You can also disable camera, photo library, location, and notification permissions in system settings.

You can permanently delete your account in the app from Me → Account → Delete Account. This deletes the account and associated wardrobe data, outfits, photos, preferences, and AI creations. For data export, deletion of information you cannot manage yourself, withdrawal of consent, or other privacy questions, contact us below. We will verify and handle your request within a reasonable period.

8. Minors

This service is mainly intended for users who have full civil capacity. If you are a minor, please use the service with the consent and guidance of a guardian. Guardians may contact us if they believe a minor's information has been improperly collected, used, or stored.

9. Updates

We may update this policy based on product features, legal requirements, or operational needs. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notices, page announcements, or other reasonable means. The updated policy takes effect when published unless applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions, suggestions, complaints, or rights requests related to this policy or personal information processing, please contact us. We will verify and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
